This position will be located in Merritt Island, Florida and serve several locations. This position requires a broad understanding of U.S. Government aerospace products/systems and/or missions/operations as well as experience in leading project teams in satellite launch campaigns.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in Spacecraft Design, Spacecraft/Component Integration and Test (I&T), Payload design and I&T, Launch Vehicle Integration, Space Mission Operations and Launch Campaign Processing. The primary objective will be the oversight and management of NG launch site activities, lead a cross-functional organization at the launch site while aligning them to common program and divisional performance goals. Additionally, the selected individual will manage the NG facility needs, space utilization and participate in the potential expansion of the payload and launch vehicle processing activities as a Space Sector initiative and a demand from the industry during this increased focus on space operations for commercial and government applications.

The Site Manager will be responsible for effectively communicating to stakeholders and facilitating/leading all phases of the launch campaign as governed by the individual program requirements or expectations. Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or facilities and include, but are not limited to: Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer communityDeveloping new business opportunities through long-term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plansEstablishing a program launch site organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizationsLeading and directing cross-functional resident launch site team to meet launch campaign schedule, technical performance objectives and program costMeasuring and reporting site conflicts and performance concernsDelivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholdersParticipating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditionsDevelopment and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools for various funding methodsIdentifying, allocating, and managing program resources, including workforce planningManaging Government/customer/NG assets or information (GFE, CFE, etc.)Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standardsDevelopment and adherence to master plans and schedules for range and PPF useConducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization for off-site operationsPrepare briefings on status/progress and processes at the Site; present in the appropriate cadences to ensure stakeholder awareness among Executive leadership.

Support DE&I and ERG initiatives and events to nurture and foster a diverse and inclusive environmentHelp develop and shape additional programs/processes to improve the overall Employee ExperienceDrive Digital Transformation initiatives.Coordinate physical space/footprint options for near term accommodations and long term growth, including security, and potential payload processing facilityBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 10 years, or Master's and 8 years' experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and intimate knowledge of launch site operationsDirect support or involvement with a minimum of 5 SVC or LVC launch campaigns preferably at Cape Canaveral Space Force Base, Kennedy Space Center or others.U.S.

Citizen with a current or active clearance and the ability to attain a Top Secret/SCI clearance in the futureProven ability to lead a high performing team with evidence of being able to create trusted relationships, and an inclusive work environment that attracts, retain and inspire diverse and engaged teams.Effectively develop business cases, briefings and communication - both written and verbal - at a senior leadership level to inform and drive decisions.Experience managing facilities related to launch site operations.

Preferred Qualifications:Current or active Top Secret/SCI clearance with poly.Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationBroad understanding of U.S. Government aerospace products/systems and/or missions/operations as well as experience in leading cross-functional project teams.
